This apprenticeship is ideal for sports coaches working in schools, newly qualified teachers who want to specialise in PE and School Sport, graduates with a sports degree entering PE and School Sport, and learners progressing from the Level 2 Community Activator apprenticeship.

Programme Cost

The maximum funding available for this apprenticeship standard is £5,000. For learners aged 16–18, the programme can be fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy. For learners aged 19 and over with non-levy employers, up to 95% of the cost can be funded, making this a highly accessible opportunity.

The programme typically lasts 12–14 months, followed by up to 2 months to complete the End Point Assessment.
