The Learning and Skills Apprenticeship is a high-level qualification which has a teaching/training practice requirement. It is an ‘in service’ qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers.

WHAT IS COVERS

This qualification can be completed between 1-2 years depending on the amount of teaching hours being delivered. The Learning and Skills Teacher will:

  • Promote a passion for learning and high expectations of all learners
  • Underpin their practice by reference to professional standards and evidence-based teaching and learning
  • Be responsible for planning and delivering learning that is current, relevant, challenging, and that inspires learners to engage and achieve their full potential.

AIM

On completion, successful trainees will be able to take an analytical and practical approach to all aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing inclusive teaching and learning. They will also be prepared and able to implement technology-enhanced learning that supports the evolving digital world we live in.
